Written with Poop

I was driving G to school this morning. She was jamming out to her latest fave "So Far Away" by Staind. We stopped next to a car at a red light with a message written on the window in shoe polish. My little smarty pants says, "Look mommy, they wrote with bird poop!".

Funny Girl

The other morning G woke up before I went to get her. I heard her fumbling down the stairs. She sat at the bottom with her arms folded and her bottom lip out. She said, "Oh Barnacles, Mommy, you got up and left me in the bed all by myself". "Oh tarter sauce" is often used in place of "Oh Barnacles". We love Spongebob.

This morning, G was listening to "Feliz Navidad" for the ump-teenth time on You Tube while I was catching my show on the DVR. She asked me, "Mom, what are you watching?". "Grey's Anatomy", I told her. "I'm Grace" she said.

Thankful

Thank You
My tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why
I got out of bed at all
The morning rain clouds up my window
and I can't see at all
And even if I could it'd all be grey,
but your picture on my wall
It reminds me that it's not so bad,
it's not so bad
I want to thank you
for giving me the best day of my life
Oh just to be with you
is having the best day of my life

The best days of my life are the days my family is together. Even the days way back when we were growing up with mom, I have so many memories of those days. We always took time to make memories. Those days are scattered now since we are all in different cities. Maybe that's why I love those days so much and look forward to them. We always take time for pictures when we are together. It seems to make those days last a little longer for us.

I am thankful for so much. I'm thankful for friends who know how to save me from a bad day and realize I need something just by the look on my face or the sound of my voice. I am thankful for a stable job and the people there I can count on. I am thankful for my family who can drive me insane but also would drive to the ends of the earth for me. I am thankful for my health and the health of my family. I am thankful for the new addition in our family this year, Baby Jack. I am thankful for Grace and the gift I have been given of being her mommy. She brings me more smiles and joy than anyone or anything. I can't imagine life without her smile and her humor.

It's Fall Ya'll

On October 22nd, G's 3K class went to the X Maze for a Hayride, Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze. We had a blast :-) I love G's school. They never fail to do something special for the kids during holidays and special times.

This might have been our last hoo-rah by the pool this summer so we decided to do it up right with some music, dancing and really good food as always :-)

Return of the Jack

Sweet Baby Jack and my sis came back for another visit before she goes back to work. It was so nice to have them here for a few more days for no other reason than just to be here.

Jack Comes to Bama

Baby Jack came to Alabama to meet his great-grandparents and G. It was a marathon of visits for the poor little guy but he came out like a champ. We took the opportunity to take some pics of the family :-)

Baby In My Belly

Today G told me, "Mommy, I have a baby in my belly". Just like that, very seriously. Yesterday afternoon we visited April that cuts our hair and she has a baby in her belly so I'm guessing this has put the subject in her mind. She asked me to kiss the baby and rub it, Don't hit it!, just rub it. She also told me the baby would "come out" tomorrow and her name would be Allie Cutter. So glad we don't have to go into the "come out" discussion yet and better yet the "how the baby got in my belly" discussion. It was a sweet conversation anyway :-)

New Panties

Friday on our trip to the Mall, we bought big girl panties at the Gap for G. She wasn't that excited about them at the time. Apparently, she noticed the cute flip flops on the pair she wore today. When I walked into school to pick her up, she pulled her shorts down to her knees and said, "Mommy, wanna see my flop flops on my panties?!"

Trip to the Mall With G

After I got G from school today, we went to Chic-fil-a and to the Mall like we do most Fridays. She had a good time after we searched the restaurant for cows (long story - people dressed up like cows there scares the pee out of her). So we go to the Mall . . . she gets the pep talk. Hold mommy's hand or walk right beside me. No running, yelling or asking people about band-aids on their face (somehow that has happened more than once). Something funny always happens when I take G out in public. So today, here was her funny. We walk into Belk and first thing as she walks through the doors she takes a deep breath and breathes out and says, really loudly of course, "hmmmm it smells good in here!" Laughter everywhere. Then, like a dummy I say, "are you full of it?" And she says, again really loudly, "I'm full of it!". We had a good time at the mall.

G Moments

I had 2 great "G Moments" today. Made me smile :-)

First, we stopped at Walmart and she was riding in the back of the buggy laying on her blanket. There was a loud noise from a floor cleaner or something as we got closer to that side of the store. I looked down and she had the paper plates in one hand covering one ear and the plastic forks in the other hand covering the other ear saying, "Momma, what's all that noise about?" It made me laugh!

Then, after I picked her up from school, she was a little fired up from school and had a little bit of attitude on her. I "handed" her the bag of snacks I keep in the car for after school and she yelled "Mommy you hit me with the bag!" Then proceeded to "cry" and say I hurt her feelings. This went on for a few minutes and she says "You know where my feelings are momma?," "Right here" (pointing to her wrist). I laughed :-)

4th of July

On the 4th, Mom and Memaw came over and we grilled in the rain :-) As you can see, G loved the cupcakes the best! Then we went to Athens and watch the fireworks. It was a really good show and G had a good time.

Funny G Moment . . .

Classic G moment today . . . I was heating up spinach dip that Jason made. It smells kinda strong when you heat it up in the microwave. G comes in the kitchen, lifts up the back of my shirt and says, "Shooo weeeee mommy, your butt stinks!".

Girls Night Out

One word . . . Chippendales. Need I say more :-) We had a blast.

Fun in the Sun with the Browns

Sunday, we went over to Jason's brother's house to play for a while. They have a swimming pool and G loves to play with their little one, Austin. They played in the water and rode anything battery powered all day! She had a blast and so did we :-) We love spending time with Michelle and Johnny and their kids. Here's a few pictures from our day with the "other" Browns :-)
