Relay for Life

Toray Relay. It's over. Kesha, Tracy and I and of course "the team" all worked really hard to raise over 22K for Relay for Life. Kesha was our fearless leader and of course we couldn't let her down. Friday night was the actual Relay night so our fundraising efforts have finally come to an end. We had a good time and of course it was for a good cause! Here is a few pictures from the night.

Taking the Afternoon Off

Taking the afternoon off. It should be a good thing. I should be happy to have time off of work with my precious little angel. Instead, I am sitting here stressing over everything I should be doing at work. Isn't that the way it goes? Today, G's preschool closed early due to inclement weather. So, here I am at home with her. I'm thankful we are home safe and she is sleeping like an angel on the couch. Now, if I could stop making little post-it lists of what I should/could/need to be doing!

Good Things

A few good things about my week so far:
1. G telling me "Mommy I love you" after i bought her Bug Juice after school today.
2. Waking up Tuesday morning at 4:30am to work out and finding the dishes that were in the sink the night before all done (thanks J :-))
3. Mom inviting G to spend the night Friday night!
4. Talking to my sister today and finding out my "little" brother is coming home soon (hopefully she will be here soon after) :-)
5. And G putting on her daddy's Averitt hat and telling me "Bye mommy, gotta go to work at Averitt today".

Going to the Park

So I'm trying this blogging thing. I've tried Myspace and Facebook, why not this too?
Jason took Grace to the park today. Here are a few pics from their adventure. She tip-toed through the "forest" to sneak up on a squirrel, found "blowers" and "bobbled" over the bridge.
