Labor Day Weekend

This might have been our last hoo-rah by the pool this summer so we decided to do it up right with some music, dancing and really good food as always :-)

Return of the Jack

Sweet Baby Jack and my sis came back for another visit before she goes back to work. It was so nice to have them here for a few more days for no other reason than just to be here.

Jack Comes to Bama

Baby Jack came to Alabama to meet his great-grandparents and G. It was a marathon of visits for the poor little guy but he came out like a champ. We took the opportunity to take some pics of the family :-)

Baby In My Belly

Today G told me, "Mommy, I have a baby in my belly". Just like that, very seriously. Yesterday afternoon we visited April that cuts our hair and she has a baby in her belly so I'm guessing this has put the subject in her mind. She asked me to kiss the baby and rub it, Don't hit it!, just rub it. She also told me the baby would "come out" tomorrow and her name would be Allie Cutter. So glad we don't have to go into the "come out" discussion yet and better yet the "how the baby got in my belly" discussion. It was a sweet conversation anyway :-)

New Panties

Friday on our trip to the Mall, we bought big girl panties at the Gap for G. She wasn't that excited about them at the time. Apparently, she noticed the cute flip flops on the pair she wore today. When I walked into school to pick her up, she pulled her shorts down to her knees and said, "Mommy, wanna see my flop flops on my panties?!"

Trip to the Mall With G

After I got G from school today, we went to Chic-fil-a and to the Mall like we do most Fridays. She had a good time after we searched the restaurant for cows (long story - people dressed up like cows there scares the pee out of her). So we go to the Mall . . . she gets the pep talk. Hold mommy's hand or walk right beside me. No running, yelling or asking people about band-aids on their face (somehow that has happened more than once). Something funny always happens when I take G out in public. So today, here was her funny. We walk into Belk and first thing as she walks through the doors she takes a deep breath and breathes out and says, really loudly of course, "hmmmm it smells good in here!" Laughter everywhere. Then, like a dummy I say, "are you full of it?" And she says, again really loudly, "I'm full of it!". We had a good time at the mall.

G Moments

I had 2 great "G Moments" today. Made me smile :-)

First, we stopped at Walmart and she was riding in the back of the buggy laying on her blanket. There was a loud noise from a floor cleaner or something as we got closer to that side of the store. I looked down and she had the paper plates in one hand covering one ear and the plastic forks in the other hand covering the other ear saying, "Momma, what's all that noise about?" It made me laugh!

Then, after I picked her up from school, she was a little fired up from school and had a little bit of attitude on her. I "handed" her the bag of snacks I keep in the car for after school and she yelled "Mommy you hit me with the bag!" Then proceeded to "cry" and say I hurt her feelings. This went on for a few minutes and she says "You know where my feelings are momma?," "Right here" (pointing to her wrist). I laughed :-)
